Stirrup Sizing Guide

Sprenger stirrup width is stated as the tread width in millimetres. Sprenger publishes a general shoe-size guide for some safety-stirrup models; exact choices differ by product.

Start with the maker’s tread-width guide

Sprenger’s published guidance recommends 110 mm for EU shoe sizes up to 38, 120 mm for sizes 39–44, and 130 mm for size 45 and above. See the compact stirrup chart.

KE listings include 110, 120, 122 and 130 mm sizes. The 122 mm width is model-specific; check the product title and options rather than applying the general guide to every model. For replacement pads, match the pad to the exact stirrup model and stated width.

Compare the exact model

Sprenger makes classic and articulated designs with different constructions. Read the manufacturer’s product information for the model you are considering. Do not treat every articulated design as a dedicated safety stirrup or assume one model’s fitting instructions apply to another.
