The PS of Sweden Mary Lou Bridle was developed with top rider Henrik von Eckermann and is FEI approved for jumping. Together with Henrik, PS of Sweden developed a classic Aachen noseband for maximum comfort.
The bridle offers two variations of the noseband. One is slightly wider to distribute pressure over the nose bridge and is softly padded, and the other is a formable, round-stitched noseband that gives a more direct pressure and a sharper effect. Thanks to the options, the bridle suits those who need to switch between two different nosebands or use the same bridle on different horses. Increased adjustability comes from the noseband having more and closer holes, so it can be customised for each individual.
The unique headpiece has a generous air tunnel in the soft padding, giving maximum freedom to the sensitive nerve pathways, muscle attachments and ligaments of the neck. The headpiece is wide to distribute pressure over a larger area and allow the horse to relax naturally.
The cheekpieces are designed to reduce pressure from the neck through PS of Sweden's elastic Cradles™. A Cradle is an extra elastic band that the bit should rest on, located in the cheekpieces by the bit and in PS of Sweden reins. The idea is that they act elastically and give the horse more comfort by allowing the bit to bounce, which should relieve the teeth and jaws of static pressure. Many believe that horses prefer this type of bridle and that it can be more gentle and horse-friendly than traditional bridles and reins. The Cradles on this bridle are sewn in place, making them more suitable for jumping, and they can be used just as well for dressage at home.
The browband has a U-shaped design to avoid pressure on the horse's forehead and eye socket, and rubber on the inside of the buckle keeps it in place during the ride. All keepers have rubber on the inside, which keeps them in place even during the toughest challenges.
Recommended for horses that are tough and forward, need varied equipment, and prefer a classic Aachen noseband. Reins are sold separately.
