The PS of Sweden Wellington Bridle is a classical hunter bridle with a modern touch and an anatomical shape. It has a throatlatch attached to the headpiece, a soft, flat noseband and a browband with beautiful décor stitching. The noseband is smoothly fastened with a buckle underneath, covered in soft leather to avoid direct pressure on the jaw and possible rubbing.
The headpiece has an air channel over the mane and the highest part of the neck, giving maximum freedom to the sensitive nerve pathways, muscle attachments and ligaments of the neck. The edges are built-up and softly padded, with an anatomical design around the ears, and a recess at the top distributes pressure evenly over the headpiece.
The cheekpieces are developed to reduce pressure from the neck through PS of Sweden's elastic Cradles™. A Cradle is an extra elastic band on which the bit rests, partly located in the cheekpieces at the bit and on PS of Sweden reins. The idea is that they act elastically and give the horse more comfort by allowing the bit to bounce, which should then relieve the teeth and jaws of static pressure. Many believe that horses prefer this type of bridle and that it can be more gentle and horse-friendly than regular bridles and reins. The Cradles are sewn on, making them more suitable for jumping, hunter and eventing, and they are just as good for dressage at home. French snaps make it easy to change the bit as needed.
The browband is softly padded on the inside to avoid rubbing and make it more comfortable, with a U-shaped design that avoids pressure on the horse's forehead and eyebrow. Rubber on the inside keeps it in place even under the toughest conditions.
Recommended for horses that should be trained or shown as a jumper or hunter prospect, are ridden or shown as hunters, and are younger and need a comfortable first noseband. Reins are sold separately.
