Cavalor Hepato Liq is a liquid herbal supplement that supports the liver and kidneys. It is an annual detox for horses and ponies during moulting and/or rest, and it helps your horse to recover after a long competition season and prepare for the next.
Hard work and performance cause the body to produce more waste products, and supporting the liver and kidneys helps your horse to break these down better. A regimen of Hepato Liq purifies the organs behind this process and stimulates their function. Cavalor says it is like a real detox.
The formula is full of herbal extracts, including globe artichoke, milk thistle, goldenrod, dandelion and nettle, with spirulina algae extract and taurine. The herbs keep certain toxins from penetrating or damaging the liver cell membranes, stimulate liver cell formation, reduce inflammation and have cleansing effects.
Key ingredients
- Cynara scolymus (globe artichoke): antioxidant properties, stimulates general liver function and supports liver cleansing.
- Silybum marianum (milk thistle): protects the liver and kidneys and has an antioxidant effect.
- Solidago virgaurea (goldenrod): stimulates kidney function and the elimination of waste products.
- Algae extract (spirulina): has detoxifying properties.
- Taraxacum officinale (dandelion): drains the liver and promotes liver function.
- Taurine: helps protect liver cells from free radicals and toxins and supports liver detoxification.
- Urtica dioica (nettle): promotes the general functioning of the liver.
Feeding guide
Recommended at least once a year, during moulting or after a competition period, to detoxify the liver and kidneys: give 5 cc twice a day for 25 days. Pour over the feed or give directly into the horse's mouth. The regimen may be continued for up to 6 weeks.
For horses with severe liver problems, Cavalor recommends 10 cc twice a day. Maximum 20 cc per day.
With liquid supplements it is normal for some ingredients to settle and form a layer at the bottom. Shake the bottle well before each use for a homogeneous and consistent dose.
