HV Polo Sacha Outdoor Rug - Wine
Use this size guide to find the correct rug size for your horse. It covers HV Polo turnout, stable, fleece and fly rugs. HV Polo rugs are sized in centimetres; the chart also gives the matching UK rug size (feet) and US blanket size (inches), which describe the same rug length.
How to measure your horse for a rug:
- Bottom length (the EU size on the chart): measure along the side of the horse, from the middle of the chest, around the shoulder, to the end of the quarters (just past the point of the buttock). This is the standard measurement used for UK and US rug sizing.
- Top length: measure in a straight line along the back, from the base of the neck (at the withers) to the base of the tail.
- Horse height: measured from the ground to the top of the withers. Use the hands (hh) column if you know your horse's height in hands, or centimetres if you have measured with a height stick.

This size chart is a guideline. Measurements in feet (UK) and inches (US) refer to the length of the rug along the bottom edge.
HV Polo sizes are the bottom length of the rug. Some brands label their rugs by top length (along the back) instead, so the same horse can take a different number in another brand. The UK rug size in feet is the same across brands.
The HV Polo Sacha Outdoor Rug is a lightweight turnout rug in pony sizes for young riders, built for mild, changeable weather. The 600 denier ripstop Oxford polyester outer is waterproof and breathable, rated 4000/3000, with no fill weight and a smooth polyester taffeta lining that reduces rubbing.
The fit is built for the field: an adjustable double front closure, adjustable cross surcingles under the belly, a walking slit for free movement, adjustable leg straps and a long tail flap. A reflective HV Polo print improves visibility on dark mornings.
