PS of Sweden Bridle Pioneer - Black

The PS of Sweden Pioneer Bridle could be called a development on a regular cavesson noseband. The noseband sits higher up on the nasal bone, which removes pressure from the airways and eliminates pressure around the bit. The pressure on the skeletal structure is also reduced because the nasal bone becomes thinner further down, and by eliminating pressure here the risk of future injuries is minimised and a more comfortable fit is achieved.

A cushion built into the noseband provides extra stability, which suits the younger horse. It can be tightened at three different heights, making it very adaptable, and the options minimise the risk of the bit becoming locked. The sensitive nerve endings are completely free from pressure and strain, including the sensitive infraorbital nerve at the horse's cheekbone. The rider can choose between an anatomical, more classically English noseband, an anatomical training noseband, or a combination of the two, and in the highest position it works like an English noseband. The noseband has raw hide on the inside to hold its shape and a soft pillow built into it to increase its stability.

The area behind the ears is very sensitive, with many nerves and ligaments, so the headpiece is extra wide to relieve pressure from the bridle. A cut-out at the top distributes pressure evenly, and the headpiece is cut to make room for the horse's ears, all for the highest possible comfort.

The cheekpieces are designed to reduce pressure on the neck through PS of Sweden's elastic Cradles™. A Cradle is an extra elastic band that the bit should rest on, attached to the cheekpieces at the bit and on PS of Sweden reins. The idea is that they act elastically and give the horse more comfort by allowing the bit to spring, which should relieve the teeth and jaws of static pressure. Many believe that horses prefer this type of bridle and that it can be more gentle and horse-friendly than regular bridles and reins. The seams are rounded and the optional Cradles are easy to detach when entering the dressage arena.

The browband is U-shaped to prevent pressure on the horse's forehead and eye sockets, with a rubber-coated inside, called anti-slip, that is designed to keep it in place. The Click-It™ function allows you to easily remove and replace the browband as needed, even when the horse is wearing the bridle.

The bridle is approved to compete with by the FEI, USEF/USDF and BD on horse and pony, in dressage, jumping and cross country. Remember to buy a throatlatch and attach it to the browband, and detach the Cradles during dressage competitions. A compatible throatlatch model is Flat w/ Light Stitches & White Stitches. Recommended for horses that are young or inexperienced, need extra support and stability, and are sensitive to pressure. Reins are sold separately.
