The PS of Sweden Ocala Bridle is a classic hunter bridle with an English noseband and a throatlatch attached to the headpiece. The classic English noseband is well padded to make it as comfortable as possible, and decorative white stitching covers the front for an extra finish. The noseband fastens smoothly with a buckle underneath, covered in soft leather to avoid direct pressure on the jaw and potential rubbing.
The headpiece has an air channel over the poll and the highest part of the neck, giving maximum freedom to the neck's sensitive nerve pathways, muscle attachments and ligaments. The edges are built-up and softly padded, with an anatomical design around the ears, and a cutout at the top distributes pressure evenly over the headpiece. The headpiece is slightly wider over the neck to distribute the pressure well.
The cheekpieces are developed to reduce pressure from the neck through PS of Sweden's elastic Cradles™. A Cradle is an extra elastic band on which the bit should rest, located partly in the cheekpieces at the bit and on PS of Sweden reins. The idea is that they act elastically and give the horse more comfort by allowing the bit to bounce, which should relieve the teeth and jaws of static pressure. Many believe that horses prefer this type of bridle and that it can be gentler and more horse-friendly than regular bridles and reins. The Cradles are sewn in place, making it more suitable for jumping, hunter and eventing, and it is also suitable for dressage riding at home. French hooks make it easy to change the bit as needed.
The browband is softly padded on the inside to avoid rubbing and make it more comfortable, with a U-shaped design that avoids pressure on the horse's forehead and eye socket. Rubber on the inside keeps it in place, even in the toughest conditions, and white decorative stitching decorates the browband and noseband.
Recommended for horses that are ridden or shown as hunters, will be trained or shown as hunter prospects, and are younger and need a comfortable first noseband. Reins are sold separately.
